Way too busy!!!
I don't know about anyone else in my class, but I am feeling a big overwhelmed right now. I have been trying to get caught up in English, but I have had other papers to write in two other classes, plus I had a big algebra test last Friday, and I am a bit behind in English class. I guess I will be writing my four page rough draft on butchering because Vic found an antique artifact and it has to do with butchering. I will make this as interesting to all of you as possible, I promise. As tired as I am, I still try to find humor in life. I also have some pictures to bring in of a butchering season in the past, so I hope you all have strong stomachs. Some are gross, but it is all part of the butchering game. I am fortunate to be able to write now on butchering, though, because they do this in December and my paper might be due before they actually do this year's butchering, so this may work out for the best. I am anxious to see how many of you will still want to eat pork chops, pork steaks, ham, bacon or any other pork after you see some of these pictures!! Have you ever heard of "Head Cheese"? Oh, how totally gross!

I am so overloaded too!! I feel like I will never be able to get caught up. I haven't even started my paper for the artifact yet! With work and school, its so hard to manage my time. I know exactly how you are feeling. I'm looking forward to your presentation of your artifact though. My dad is a hunter, and I have witnessed the butchering and cleaning parts of this task. It is quite disgusting and you definitely have to have a strong stomach. How weird that you mentioned something about head cheese!! This past weekend I was informed of what it is, pretty gross!!!!

no i never heard of head cheese . what is it? and yes i am feeling you on being overwhelmed. seems like time is flying by too fast to keep caught up. i too have yet to start on what the artifact is for my paper. well cant wait to read yours.
ReplyDeleteJust want to give you some encouragement. I myself am feeling a bit overwhelmed, this being my first experience with an actual class. There is so much work associated with writing. I just remembered that I need a "Works Cited" page. I never have gotten the hang of making them.
ReplyDeleteJust hang in there. I'm sure your project will be a huge success. I have loved it so far. I hope that you'll work just as hard as you have since the class started. I look forward to more from your subculture.
I know that I need to learn how to budget my time. Crazy work overload. I can't remember the last time I went to bed not thinking of what needs to be done the next day.
